The role

This position focuses on the day-to-day operations at Gorilla. This includes basic office upkeep (assuring technology is functioning, keeping common spaces clean, ordering office equipment and supplies, plant watering), a bit of accounting and other general administrative tasks.

What that looks like:

  • Basic accounting including depositing checks, managing our accounts receivable and monthly invoicing to our clients
  • Booking travel arrangements when necessary
  • Building relationships and communicating with the internal Gorilla team
  • Building relationships and communicating with vendors
  • Actively seeking opportunities to help make the Gorilla office and Gorilla team better
  • Joining in any required meetings
  • Problem-solving proactively

Putting the role into perspective

The Office Coordinator at Gorilla is often the ‘go-to’ person for questions from the team. Organization, personal time management and forecasting needs are key in this role. The idea is to always be a few steps ahead.

Within three months you’ll...

  • Have finished your onboarding and training
  • Manage issues before they become larger (putting out fires before they’re seen)
  • Learn how to use our tech stack
  • Met with all department directors

  • Attend monthly State of Gorilla meetings
  • Gain a basic understanding of Gorilla’s workflow
  • Set goals, professional and personal, for the rest of your year 

Within six months you’ll…

  • Have built lasting relationships with your fellow Gorillas and outside vendors
  • Feel comfortable in owning your role and work including sharing ideas to make Gorilla better

Within one year you’ll…

  • Be a reliable part of the team and stellar in your role.
