This position's focus is editing various video projects for multiple Gorilla clients and assisting in video production when needed. Video projects include, but are not limited to, long-form interviews, branded promotional pieces and various social media content. Applicants need to have strong project management skills as well. This hire will be expected to embody our core values of results, improvement, relationships, kindness and inclusivity. Applicants must be available to work from our St. Louis office and should have previous video-editing experience. 


Tasks and responsibilities


  • Delivering exceptional video edits
  • Working in a collaborative post-production workflow
  • Assisting in footage ingestion, project setup, editing and archival
  • Executing all steps in a proven QC/QA process
  • Managing a video project from start to finish
  • Working closely with team videographer(s), and any subcontracted videographer(s), to perform grip and production assistant responsibilities
  • Maintaining and upholding client’s brands and related standards in all projects and video work
  • Operating all video-editing equipment and software, both on location (as needed) and at our office, to create work we’re all proud of
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Staying current with the latest trends and research in video/post-production
  • Whatever else is needed to make Gorilla and our team stronger


Requirements


  • Provide samples of work and/or a reel demonstrating your abilities in post-production (please identify your roles in each sample provided)
  • Proficient with MacOS and in Adobe Premiere
  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe After Effects is a bonus
  • Knowledge of professional editing and post-production procedures and standards
  • Meticulous file organization
  • Very capable in project management and working with deadlines
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Production experience a plus
  • Must be collaborative, but able to handle a project on your own
  • Availability to work from our St. Louis, MO office
