The ideal Outreach Intern candidate is a strong writer, has a desire to understand the convergence of online public relations and content marketing, and has 15+ hours of work availability per week. Applicants must be current college freshmen, sophomores or juniors that are looking for a place to call home until graduation.

Daily duties include pitching stories to a range of publications and actively managing relationships with editors, writers and bloggers. This internship is paid.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Pitch our clients' content to online trade publications
  • Ability to identify and gather information about new websites and online publications relevant to our clients
  • Manage relationships with publications in our contact database
  • Report each week on the success or failure of your outreach campaigns and improve future campaigns accordingly

Requirements

  • Ability to understand our clients' businesses  
  • Exceptional creative thinking skills
  • Strong persuasive writing skills
  • Desire to learn more about online marketing in the B2B industrial space
  • Willingness to see outreach campaigns through from start to finish and maintain ongoing relationships with our contacts
  • Applicants must be current college freshmen, sophomores or juniors that are looking for a place to call home until graduation
  • Availability to work from our St. Louis, MO office

What will help you stand out

  • Previous experience pitching stories to publications OR previous experience working for a publication or blog
  • Experience or a concentration of study in public relations and/or digital marketing
  • Exceptional writing skills
